Will I get stuck in a trance?
No, all you have to do is open your eyes and tell yourself to come back to ordinary and you are out of the hypnotic state.

What if I am very strong-willed and strong-minded?
Your strong mind will work in your favor because you and your hypnotist are allies; you are both on the same team trying to reach the same goal.

Are there any side effects to hypnosis?
Sometimes some people become groggy for a little while afterward, others may become mellow and extremely agreeable. You'll usually get a good night's sleep if you've been hypnotized within the previous 10 hours, or so.

What are some uses of hypnosis?
In a typical week, clients will arrange for Hypnosis-by-Phone to:

  • Stop smoking
  • Help get through bereavement
  • Diminish pain during childbirth
  • Stay calm before a test
  • Socialize with ease
  • Enjoy a better love life
  • Look forward to speaking in public
  • Stick to a food plan
  • Overcome a phobia
  • Play a better game of golf
  • Stop nail biting
  • Heal rapidly after surgery
  • Get a good night's sleep without sleeping pills

How many sessions will I need?
Usually, one session is sufficient. I encourage you to tape record our session so you can replay it whenever you wish.

How can I find out more about hypnosis?
There are many good books about hypnosis. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hypnosis is a comprehensive book, based upon solid research. You can often find excerpts from it at www.amazon.com. While you're at Amazon note all the other books about hypnosis, too.
